    According to this article only 50% of athletes will return to previous level of sports. At the Anatomic ACL summit in Pittsburgh this summer, other authors reported similar results of return to previous level of sport 50-70%. This may not be as simple as the number suggests, and prospective outcomes would be more predictive.
